The Kingsbridge Heights Community Center (KHCC) took full advantage of the first 70+ degree day to kick off its 4th Annual Neighborhood Festival on Kingsbridge Terrace. KHCC's festival also hosted a "Service Learning Day 2014" with the Horace Mann School, where dozens of students and instructors volunteered to beautify the grounds.
KHCC, a Settlement House program that serves the Northwest Bronx, provided numerous activities for kids as part of their neighborhood outreach, such as face-painting and educational activities, while an outdoor flea market with local vendors was situated outside of the center. There were also local entertainers performing both music and dance, including a very colorful Mexican traditional dance.
